On August 6th, two vehicles traveling on Interstate 86 collided, resulting in a fatality. The accident took place at mile 40, at approximately 8:55 p.m.

At the time of the accident, a 30-year-old woman from Santa Maria, driving a 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan, was traveling westbound. A second vehicle, a 2014 Honda Civic driven by an 81-year-old man from Bend, Oregon, was traveling eastbound, when he veered over the center line and into oncoming westbound traffic, colliding head on with the Volkswagen.

The driver of the Honda sustained critical injuries, and passed away at the scene. The driver of the Volkswagen also sustained injuries, and was transported to a local hospital to receive treatment.

On Tuesday, July 29th, two vehicles collided in Caldwell at the intersection of Clevland Blvd and Happy Day Blvd. The accident occurred at 4:34 p.m., and blocked the intersection for upwards of two hours.

The first driver, a 26-year-old woman from Nampa driving a 2008 Hyundai Elantra, was traveling southbound on Happy Day Blvd. She entered the intersection attempting to make a left turn, where she was hit by the second vehicle, a 2006 Saturn Vue. The driver of the Vue, a 65-year-old woman, had failed to stop for a red light, and entered the intersection out of turn.

The driver of the Saturn sustained substantial injuries, and she was transported to a local hospital by ground ambulance. She was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision. The driver of the Elantra did not sustain any notable injuries, and she was wearing a seat belt.

Idaho State Police are continuing their investigation of a two-vehicle accident that occurred early on Tuesday morning, at 5:05 a.m., in Hayden, Idaho. The collision took place at the intersection of US 95 and Hayden Ave.

The logging truck, a 2022 Peterbilt driven by a 78-year-old man from Deary, was approaching the intersection as it traveled north on US 95, when the driver failed to stop for a red light. The driver entered the intersection, and struck a 2015 Ram 1500 pickup, before coming to rest on the left shoulder of the highway. The driver of the pickup, a 64-year-old man from Hayden, was traveling westbound through the intersection, and had the right of way. The collision pushed the truck onto the right shoulder of the road, where the vehicle came to rest.

Following the accident, the driver of the truck was transported to a hospital by ground ambulance to have his injuries checked and treated. The driver of the log truck was not injured.

On July 27th in Twin Falls County, a single vehicle left the roadway and crashed, injuring both the driver and passenger. The accident took place near the intersection of 3700 North, and 2000 East.

At approximately 3:30 p.m., as the silver 2000 Mercedes-Benz E340 approached the intersection, the driver lost control of the vehicle and left the roadway. The vehicle rolled multiple times, and the driver was ejected from the vehicle.

Following the accident, emergency life saving procedures were performed on the 19-year-old female driver. She was then transported to a hospital via ground ambulance, where she later succumbed to her injuries. The 19-year-old male passenger also sustained injuries; however, they were less severe. He was taken to a hospital as well by a private vehicle. Neither of these individuals wore seatbelts at the time of the accident.

On July 27th, at approximately 11:41 a.m., a motorcycle traveling on State Highway 3 failed to navigate a curve, and collided with another vehicle.

At the time of the accident, the driver of the motorcycle, a 30-year-old man from Spokane, was traveling southbound on US 3. He was traveling on a black 2025 Kawaski ZX400. As he approached mile post 92, he failed to negotiate a curve and crossed into the oncoming northbound lane. He collided head on with the second vehicle, a 2016 Toyota Rav 4, driven by a 20-year-old man from Missoula.

The driver of the motorcycle sustained critical injuries. Emergency personnel performed life saving procedures before he was taken to a hospital in Kootenai via life flight. Later, he succumbed to his injuries in the hospital. No report is given on the condition of the driver of the Toyota.

Traffic on US 20 came to a stop after a two-vehicle collision on Thursday, July 24th, in Idaho Falls. The accident occurred just before 5:30 p.m. at mile marker 308.

At the time of the accident, traffic headed westbound had slowed significantly. A 2015 Ford Transit Van was at the end of the line, when a 2005 Pontiac Bonneville came upon the traffic and failed to stop. The Pontiac struck the back of the Ford, injuring both drivers.

The driver of the Van, a 35-year-old woman from Tetonia, sustained minor injuries but was not taken to a hospital. The 57-year-old driver of the Pontiac was transported to a local hospital by ground ambulance after sustaining serious injuries. Westbound traffic remained at a standstill for another hour and a half following this collision.


On Monday, July 21nd, two vehicles collided on US Highway 95, at milepost 64.5. At the time of the accident, the first vehicle, a blue 2014 Toyota Rav4, was headed northbound, and the second vehicle, a black 2012 Dodge Ram, was traveling south.

At approximately 10:57 p.m., the driver of the Toyota, a 45-year-old woman from Fruitland, began to veer over the center line. She crossed into the oncoming southbound traffic, and collided head on with the Ram. The driver of the Ram was a juvenile, and was also transporting two other juveniles.

The 45-year-old driver of the Toyota was critically injured and transported via life flight to a hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries. One of the juvenile passengers of the Ram was transported to a local hospital by ground ambulance for minor injuries, and the other two juveniles, the driver and second passenger, did not sustain substantial injuries.

On July 3rd, 2025, two vehicles collided just north of Jerome, Idaho. The accident took place at 10:00 p.m. on U.S. Highway 93, at milepost 63. The incident involved two vehicles, a 2005 Ford Explorer, and a 2012 Dodge Journey.

At the time of the accident, the driver of the Dodge, a 20-year-old female and her 41-year-old passenger and minor passenger, all from Peru, were headed northbound. As they traveled, the second vehicle, the Ford, driven by a 27-year-old man from Jerome, began to veer into the northbound lane. The vehicles collided head on at milepost 63.

The driver and minor passenger of the Dodge were transported to a nearby hospital via air ambulance. The other passenger of the Dodge sustained critical injuries and passed away before she could receive medical treatment. The driver of the Ford was also injured and was transported to a local hospital via ground ambulance. All four individuals involved in this accident wore seatbelts at the time of the collision.

On Saturday, June 28th, two vehicles collided on Highway 95, north of Council at milepost 143. Idaho State Police are continuing their investigation of the accident and the resulting fatality.

At the time of the accident, a 32-year-old man, and a 35-year-old female passenger, both from Nampa, were traveling north in a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee. As they traveled, their vehicle began to approach a semi headed southbound. Before they passed the semi, another vehicle attempted to pass the semi in a no passing zone. This vehicle, a 2008 Ford Focus driven by a 31-year-old woman from Oregon, collided head on with the Jeep.

The driver of the Ford passed away immediately upon impact. Both the driver and passenger of the Jeep were taken to a local hospital by ground ambulance to receive treatment for their injuries. All three individuals involved in this accident wore seatbelts at the time of collision.

Idaho State Police are continuing to investigate a crash involving a pedestrian that occurred on June 23rd, 2025. The accident took place on Interstate 15, at milepost 115, just south of Idaho Falls.

At the time of the accident, a 26-year-old man from Menan, Idaho, was traveling northbound in a 2022 Volkswagen Tiguan. At approximately 6:41 p.m., as he came upon mile 115, a 58-year-old man from Ocean Park, Washington, walked onto the roadway for unknown reasons. The driver was unable to completely avoid him, but was able to slow down significantly.

The pedestrian sustained serious injuries; however, he survived the collision and was transported to a local hospital via ground ambulance. The driver of the vehicle did not sustain any injuries.
