At approximately 5:45 p.m. on December 14th<\/sup>, two vehicles traveling on US 93 exited the roadway. The incident occurred in Jerome, Idaho, at mile 64.<\/p>\n

At the time of the incident, the first individual, a 43-year-old woman from Twin Falls, was driving a 2022 Audi Q5 northbound. When she reached mile 64, she veered into the southbound lane, facing oncoming traffic. The second driver, a 65-year-old man from Cottonwood Heights, Utah, driving a 2024 Freightliner Cascadia, was traveling southbound when the Audi entered his lane. Both drivers swerved before exiting the roadway, and continued onto the eastbound shoulder.<\/p>\n

Following the incident, the driver of the Audi was transported to a local hospital via life flight. Reports include that she was wearing a seatbelt at the time, however she sustained severe injuries. The driver of the Freightliner was uninjured.<\/p>\n
