Idaho State Police are continuing their investigation of a two-vehicle accident that occurred early on Tuesday morning, at 5:05 a.m., in Hayden, Idaho. The collision took place at the intersection of US 95 and Hayden Ave.<\/p>\n

The logging truck, a 2022 Peterbilt driven by a 78-year-old man from Deary, was approaching the intersection as it traveled north on US 95, when the driver failed to stop for a red light. The driver entered the intersection, and struck a 2015 Ram 1500 pickup, before coming to rest on the left shoulder of the highway. The driver of the pickup, a 64-year-old man from Hayden, was traveling westbound through the intersection, and had the right of way. The collision pushed the truck onto the right shoulder of the road, where the vehicle came to rest.<\/p>\n

Following the accident, the driver of the truck was transported to a hospital by ground ambulance to have his injuries checked and treated. The driver of the log truck was not injured.<\/p>\n
