On June 18th<\/sup>, at approximately 9:30 a.m., two vehicles collided on Interstate 84. The accident took place at milepost 175 just outside of Twin Falls. The first vehicle, a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado, and the second vehicle, a 2017 Volkswagen Jetta, were both traveling westbound.<\/p>\n

The driver of the first vehicle, 68-year-old man from Burley with a 72-year-old female passenger, had just reached mile 175 when he was struck by the second vehicle. The pickup was sent off the roadway, before rolling and coming to a stop off the right shoulder of the highway. The Jetta did not leave the roadway.<\/p>\n

The driver of the Chevrolet sustained severe injuries and passed away at the scene. No report is given on the condition of the passenger. Both individuals wore seatbelts at the time of the accident. The driver of the Jetta was transported via air ambulance to a local hospital to receive treatment.<\/p>\n
