Idaho State Police are continuing to investigate a two-vehicle collision that occurred on March 31st<\/sup>, 2025. The accident took place at the intersection of Spirit Lake Cutoff Rd. and Beare Rd. in Bonner County, at approximately 10:19 a.m.<\/p>\n

The first individual, a 70-year-old man from Hauser, Idaho driving a Harley-Davidson motorcycle, was traveling north on Spirit Lake Cutoff Rd. As he traveled, he failed to navigate a curve and lost control of the vehicle, causing him to cross the center line and veer into the southbound lanes of travel. He collided head on with the second vehicle, a water truck.<\/p>\n

The condition and identity of the water truck driver has not been disclosed. The driver of the motorcycle was fatally injured, and passed away at the scene of the accident. Reports include that he was wearing a helmet at the time.<\/p>\n
