In Jerome, Idaho this weekend on Sunday October 27th<\/sup>, a major crash involving a semi-truck, and two other vehicles left many injured and the roadway blocked. The crash occurred on I84 at milepost 170.<\/p>\n

The semi driver, a 64-year-old man from Oregon, was driving a 2016 Freightliner truck westbound. As he was traveling, one of his tires began to fail, causing him to lose control of the vehicle. It slid towards the median and struck the concrete barriers, pushing them into the shoulder barrier of the eastbound side of the road. The truck then struck two other vehicles also headed westbound before it overturned and landed on its side, blocking the entire road. It then caught fire where it rested, stretched across the roadway.<\/p>\n

The other two vehicles involved were a 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe and a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox. The Tahoe was driven by a 27-year-old woman from Bellevue, Idaho. She had several other passengers with her, though the exact number isn\u2019t given. Several of the individuals in this car were injured, and they were transported to a local hospital by ground ambulance.<\/p>\n
