He is admitted to practice law in all state and federal courts in Idaho and in the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Brent’s law practice encompasses representation of businesses and individuals in a wide range of activities including transactions and litigation, with a special emphasis in business and commercial law, real estate, building construction and constitutional law. Other practice areas Brent engages in include insurance defense, criminal defense and estate planning. Academic Degrees: for his undergraduate education, Brent received an Associates degree from Ricks College in 1994, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Idaho State University in 1997, graduating magna cum laude. He received his legal education at the University of Montana, where he obtained his Juris Doctor degree in 2002, graduating cum laude. Professional Memberships and Activities: Brent is a member of the Idaho State Bar and the American Bar Association. While in law school, he was a Junior Partner in the school’s “law firm” mentor program where he served as an assistant instructor for legal research, writing and pre-trial advocacy. He also worked as an intern at the Missoula County Attorney’s Office where he prosecuted misdemeanors and traffic cases. Brent served as a law clerk to the Honorable Stephen S. Trott, Circuit Judge for the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Biographical Information: Brent was born in Driggs, Idaho on January 17, 1971. He and his wife live in Idaho Falls and have three children. |
