    Practice Summary:
    Bill engages in the general practice of law, with particular emphasis on defense litigation. He is admitted to practice in the Ninth and Tenth Circuit Courts of Appeal. Bill served as a law clerk in the United States District Court for the District of Idaho until June 1, 1962, when he associated with Mr. Racine and Mr. Huntley in Pocatello, Idaho, and ultimately formed the partnership of Racine, Huntley & Olson on January 1, 1963.

    Academic Degrees:
    Bill graduated from Idaho State University, where he obtained a B.A. degree in 1956. He obtained his legal education at Washington University where he obtained a J.D. degree in 1959, and was admitted to the Idaho State Bar in 1959.

    Professional Memberships and Activities:
    While at Washington University Bill was a member of the Board of Editors of the Washington University Law Quarterly. He has been president of the Sixth District Bar Association and is a member of all of the bar associations in the State of Idaho and the American Bar Association. He was on the bar preparation examination committee for the State of Idaho for many years and is now a member of the Local Rules Committee of the U.S. District Court for the District of Idaho. Mr. Olson is also a member of the Idaho Association of Defense Counsel. Mr. Olson was president of the Idaho State University Alumni Association in 1963 and 1964, and was a member of the Region VI Mental Health Advisory Board of the State of Idaho. He has been a member of the Civil Justice Reform Act Advisory Group for the United States District Court and Bankruptcy Court for the District of Idaho.
