John is the author of legal articles including: Pretrial Orders and Initial Disclosures, THE ADVOCATE (October 2002) (Idaho State Bar official monthly magazine); Idaho Medical and Health Care Malpractice Law: General Principles and Direct Expert Witness Evidentiary Requirements, THE ADVOCATE (January 2002); and Idaho Lien Law, Construction Publications, Inc. (2002). Academic Degrees: John received a B.A. degree in 1977 from Georgetown University, Washington D.C., with a major in political science and a minor in American history. While attending Georgetown, he worked on Capitol Hill in the offices of the United States Senator Adlai Stevenson III of Illinois. John received his J. D. degree in 1981 from Southern Illinois University School of Law. Professional Memberships and Activities: John is admitted to practice law in all state and federal courts in: Illinois, Idaho, Wyoming and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. John is a member of the Idaho State Bar Association and its Litigation Section and Employment and Labor Law Section; Wyoming State Bar Association; Illinois Bar Association; American Bar Association and its Construction Law Forum and Employment and Labor Law Section. In 2002-2003 he was Secretary/Treasurer; and in 2003-2004 is President of Portneuf Inn of Court, a local branch of the American Inns of Court national organization. Biographical Information: John was born in Michigan in 1956 and was raised in suburban Chicago, Illinois. He and his wife, Jan, a Pocatello native, have 5 children-- two together and three are John's step-children. John participates in local community organizations and activities. |
