Randy represents numerous individuals, families and businesses providing assistance and advice regarding the choice of business entity and formation, and has extensive experience in forming, organizing and operating corporations, limited liability companies and partnerships. Randy provides general business representation in business and commercial law areas including contract preparation, employment and personnel law, acquisitions, sales and intellectual property. Randy has considerable experience in the acquisition, sale, development and leasing of commercial and agricultural real property, together with related zoning, easement and water right issues. Randy assists many individuals and families in developing and maintaining estate plans to provide for prompt and orderly property transfers with minimal costs and delays while maintaining privacy. He has extensive experience in drafting wills, living wills, durable powers and a wide array of revocable and irrevocable trust agreements, utilizing the marital deduction, credit exemption and other techniques to avoid or minimize estate and gift taxes. Randy also represents several canal companies, water delivery organizations, water user associations and family farms in water right matters and appears frequently before the Idaho Department of Water Resources. Randy represents clients in electric rate matters, appearing frequently before the Idaho Public Utilities Commission. Academic Degrees: Randy received his undergraduate education at Utah State University, receiving a B.S. degree in 1973 in finance and economics. He obtained his legal education from the University of Idaho, where he obtained his J.D. degree and was admitted to the Idaho State Bar in 1976. Professional Memberships and Activities: Randy is admitted to practice before all State and Federal Courts of Idaho. He is an active member of the Idaho State Bar, has served on various committees and is a member of the Business and Corporate Law, Real Property, Taxation, Probate and Trust Law and Water Law Sections. Mr. Budge is also a member and past president of the Pocatello Estate Planning Counsel. Biographical Information: Randy was born in Logan, Utah on May 29, 1951 and raised on a family cattle ranch in southeastern Idaho near Soda Springs. He and his wife, Becky, have three children, Jason, T.J. and Hailey. All are active members of their church and the National Ski Patrol. |
